First, like it or not, Paul is easily the most credible member of Congress today. Why the false attacks? Why didn't you link to any of the recent interviews of him talking about health care or the economy?
If you had bothered to do any homework, you'd already know that Paul has said repeatedly that he does not believe the government played any part in the terror attack. He does believe an independent investigation would reveal, as usual, that large government is unforgivable inefficient at providing services, and therefore making it even bigger is counter-productive.
I don't agree with Paul on several issues, but watching big government conservatives grasping at straws to discredit him disheartens me.
If his stance that preemptive war has played no small role in our stressful Middle East relationships is wrong, why do the GOP hawks simply resort to Alinsky-style name-calling and untrue talking points to discredit him?
Here, let me help you with that research, since you're obviously a busy guy. Even the Truthers know that Paul isn't a truther.

Credible? To some, yes, to others, we admire some aspects and others, we go ... ouch. Rep Paul may not be a troother, but he would rather deflect the troothers than tell them straight up they are believing in conspiratorial lie. If you say "Paul has said repeatedly that he does not believe the government played any part in the terror attack" one wonders why he didnt say it here.
I conclude from this that it doesn't back up the AllahPundit claim that he's asserted anything to contradict the known real culprit of 9/11 - Al Qaeda. OTOH, he's unwilling to tell these people something that challenges their view. Rep Ron Paul is right: If he did assert the troother 9/11 perspective, the controversy would sink that credibility of his.
