The former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate was the guest of honor at the church's annual Men's Wildlife Supper, an event that drew an all-male audience of more than 3,500 to the church on Parris Island Gateway.
The supper included alligator tail, wild boar, venison, and some preachin' from the Huckster.
"There's a lot of anxiety in the world right now with the economy, and no one is really sure what's going to happen. I don't know what's going to happen in 2009, but no matter what happens with the economy, God is still God."
