Friday. January 16. 2009
1. Mitt Romney 22.8
2. Bobby Jindal 22.4
3. Mark Sanford 18.8
4. Mike Huckabee 15.9
5. Tim Pawlenty 13.8
Notes: Sanford jumps two spots this week in his best showing yet, despite South Carolina's budget problems and the governor's contentious relationship with both parties. His monthly battles have garnered reasonably good national coverage, and traders might be starting to notice. Regardless, he now stands ahead of Huckabee, Pawlenty, Palin, and Gingrich, four heavy weights.
Romney and Jindal trading was light: this marks the fourth consecutive week Mitt's been labeled "front runner" by traders.
