Why must Sarah Palin continually insert her ostensibly foul treatment by the press into every story -- even an op-ed on cap and trade?
This is no place for her personal murmurs; only her economic ones, the ones that are supposedly more worried about the state of America than her political career.
Yet, there she is -- on the second paragraph -- descending into "me again".
It takes away from what is an otherwise fine piece on cap-and-trade.
Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges. So, at risk of disappointing the chattering class, let me make clear what is foremost on my mind and where my focus will be.
As for the rest of her piece, it sounds a bit cliche-ridden, but for the most part, her concept is on -- the "tax and cap" cliche is there for a reason, and will do anything but produce jobs.
In addition to immediately increasing unemployment in the energy sector, even more American jobs will be threatened by the rising cost of doing business under the cap-and-tax plan.
But why she persists in inserting her woes into every public statement is beyond anyone's guess, and it distracts from her alleged intentions. Yes, the media sometimes won't let Sarah Palin be anyone but Sarah Palin. But she's complicit with it.
Here's her assignment for next op-ed. Write about what you're writing about. From first word to period.

good start. a little lite on the details.
needs to highlight connection between gas and nuclear as sources of clean domestic energy to address concerns of climate change (if you believe in it) not just as part of securing energy independence and spuring economic growth.
she is heading in the right direction talking about policies. she needs to build a team of policy wonks to advise her, prep her for interviews, develop her world view. looking forward to see if she grows from here.
So, what is your actual argument with it. You repeat the vapid musings of people who had no understanding of the issues she actually deals with, whether it's global warming, or energy or the stimulus. All things you would think you're concerned about, or not, it's only the fate of our future prosperity on the line
It is true. Media is largely responsible for this piece of lefty inanity to go mainstream.
